...a lovely quote.

A candle light is a protest at midnight.
It is a non-conformist;
It says to the darkness,
"I beg to differ!"

...her attempt at poetry.

This is the story of my dinner,
At Rossini's where I was a winner,
Ala Italiano is what they got,
But pasta and pizza they serve me not.

Beautiful place and oh I was awed,
And we at the table began to thaw,
In came the DJs, them who picked my choice,
Now I see the face that goes with the voice.

As laughter and music float in the air,
Our questions the DJs patiently hear,
How they work I now understand more,
And to the station my loyalty pours.

A photo with them have I for mem'ry,
Plus tips and secrets shared in revelry,
I left at ten with a smile and a sigh,
To say it wasn't fun, that would be a lie.

...a blogger's blog.

What should be in a blog?
What is blogging all about?

"You should write something that you are passionate about."

That's what someone said, commenting on why a blog is started in the first place. Then only will people comment on your blogs because what you write is debatable or something that they can identify with.

That got me thinking about my blog. Err... nothing very passionate here.... no issues to debate... no strong opinions... <no wonder not many comments>

This is what the web has to say:
A blog (weB LOG) is basically a journal that is available on the web. The activity of updating a blog is "blogging" and someone who keeps a blog is a "blogger." Blogs are typically updated daily using software that allows people with little or no technical background to update and maintain the blog. Postings on a blog are almost always arranged in cronological order with the most recent additions featured most prominantly.

So, what have you gotta say about my blog being a blog?

...the Chinese New Year weather.

Right on time. Yes, the "gong xi fa chai" weather is back. You know the hot, humid, strong but not cool wind kind of weather. The kind where you just can't do anything but wilt. You don't want to move. You don't even want to breathe coz even the teeniest movement brings immediate heat.

What can be worse than being outside in this weather? Being in a closed-up office with the air-conditioner spewing hot air.

~Alas, the mind has wilted too.~

...New Year resolutions.

You either believe in it or you are not bothered.

It is achievable. Definitely not difficult to make. Discipline needed. Determination to begin with. May be secret or public. Without an 's' or pages long.

A toast...

Tem twa mora asami
To meet the future together

Happy New Year!
